I CAN UNRAVEL the MYSTERY.
GOLF CAN BE SIMPLE.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
*****************************************************************************************
There exist two general swings in golf: The 100 year old/Retro Swing and The Modern Swing.
The 100 yr old /Retro Swing came from the Scottish pros who brought it with them to America at the turn of the 19th century. This swing was taught extensively with the rising popularity of the game in the 60s and the 70s.
The myths of the 100 yr old/Retro Swing are:
1. Stay behind the Ball.
2. Keep your head still.
3. Don't Move your Feet.
4. Right Elbow close to the side.
5. Swing on Plane.
6. Hit the Inside of the Ball.
7. Left Arm Straight.
And the All Time Classic: "Keep your Eye on the Ball and your Head Down!"
If you are doing any of these things to any degree, you are DOOMED.
I can clear all this up with the Modern Golf Swing.
This swing is an Athletic Motion just like a long throw with a Baseball or a Football. Also, it is like an old-style baseline Forehand in Tennis and many more natural moves in other sports that are not overcoached.
Simply put, the Modern Golf Swing is the simplest and the easiest to perform; both at the highest level of play and the club level of play. The club level players are normal people with limited playtime.
The Modern Swing is more efficient than the 100 year old/Retro Swing. Combining the athletic movement as well as an athletic attitude, a player can make divots with irons by having compressed the ball to its fullest potential. In essence, one is letting the ball do the work.
